Grief: A Process
A Clinical Insights Blog Series
Personal loss, means that our connection is built on shared experiences, direct interactions, and complex emotional bonds.

Collective Experience
The shared nature of the grief of loosing a classmate, can provide comfort through communal mourning. You can process emotions together, validating the depth of feelings.
Loss during senior year of high school, shows us that the raw emotions of unexpected loss and grief has no boundaries whether it’s for someone we saw daily in the hallways or someone we admired from afar, the impact on our hearts is equally real and deserving of acknowledgment.
Note: As a mental health professional, I understand how sudden loss can trigger genuine emotional responses, and the key is to understanding that all grief experiences are unique and should be validated.
Our thoughts go out to all of you, families and friends touched by the recent tragedy yesterday, in the south of Brazil, when the plane crashed and many lost theirs lives.
