The overall purpose  is designed to take a comprehensive look at their development and functioning across various areas. Evaluations involve several different assessments, each focusing on a specific aspect of your child’s abilities and well being.

What are we looking for?

We are looking at your child’s cognitive skills, such as attention, memory, language, and problem solving. This helps us understand how their brain is processing and integrating information, and how that may be impacting their learning and behavior. As well as your child’s executive functions, which are the cognitive skills needed for planning, organization, and self regulation.

Identifying:

We add in ways to identify any:

• Specific learning issues
• Developmental issues
• Psychological issues
• Social Emotional issues
• that may be affecting your child’s overall functioning. psychological and emotional well being, looking at factors like mood, anxiety, self esteem, and coping strategies.

Overall Functioning including:

• Psychological and emotional well being
• Mood
• Anxiety
• Self esteem
• Coping strategies.

This will help us understand how their emotional and behavioral functioning may be impacting their daily life. 

Social skills:

• Ability to interact with peers
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to navigate social situations

This will provide valuable information about their social emotional development. 

Academic:

Finally, we’ll conduct an academic evaluation to assess your child’s performance in core subject areas like reading, writing, and math.

All the way through the journey:

Throughout the evaluation process, we’ll be using a variety of age appropriate activities, games, and assessments to gather a comprehensive understanding of your child’s strengths, challenges, and overall development. This information will be crucial in guiding the development of a targeted support plan to help your child thrive.
